Fall Shots

This is just a collection of photos taken from October and November in Flagstaff.  We had a great fall.  Really I just knew that the grandparents wanted some of the photos.

A Fall Richmond Visit

I have been way behind on our blog recently.  We have been super busy traveling and getting around visiting before the new baby arrives.  We went to Richmond in October to visit Nani and Gappy as well as tons of friends.  What a beautiful time to be back on the East Coast, fall, my favorite season.

We visited Maymont on a beautiful fall day.  Stopped at the farm, fed animals, walked the trails, looked at birds, bears and hiked the Japanese Garden.  A very fun day!

Margaret was also really into the grandparents green grass and backyard.  We spent a lot of time rolling around in the grass.  Margaret played with my old shopping cart and pushed baby everywhere.

We also went up to Washington D.C. to visit Aunt Sarah.  We went to the Zoo and Margaret's favorite place in DC the Lincoln Memorial.  She just seems to love it, who knows why.  We had a really really nice time with Sarah and Mark.  Can't wait to see them again.

Lake Powell Trip

We just got back from an amazing trip to Lake Powell.  After fighting a terrible stomach bug we headed out a day late, but still had 5 great days on the lake.  Margaret loved that two other babies came with us and she got to be the big girl.  Mommy went with the bikini just as the new baby bump was starting to pop out.  We actually just spent every day, all day in our bathing suits.
There were tons of activities for us to do after parking the houseboat at a perfect beach.  Margaret spent many hours playing in the sand and building sand castles, but she also headed into the water in her special floaty, on the paddle board, swimming with a noodle or on the Big Brawler.
Mike found a new favorite sport (which of course he excelled at), wake surfing.  There were days with the kayak, jumping off a big rock (Margaret did the count down), and just hanging out with our amazing friends.  We feel so lucky that we got to have such a fun time together.  Lake Powell is off the grid, quiet and unbelievably beautiful.   We could add a ton more pictures, but you get the idea.
The last night Margaret got to stay up late and come look at the stars and see the bats fly around.  The next morning she woke up and unprompted said, "Thank you so much mommy for showing me the stars.  That was really special."  Made the trip for Mike and I.

The FAVORITE SUIT.  We brought 4, but this was the go to.  Thanks Gram.  We called it Vegas.
