Tummy Time

Margie Bean has started working out on her tummy and is already impressing us with her athletic prowess. The passie is also a huge hit. If you look close enough the shape of it looks like a smile. Sometimes late at night she gets her passie to help her calm down, but she does continue to cry while holding it. Even crying she still looks cute.

Just another day

Because we live far away and everyone can't experience Margie Bean like they want, I try to take video of silly things that she does. So here is another video that only a grandparent could love. Also just some cute day to day shots.

New Fan Club Member

Sarah came to visit us this past weekend and is now another proud member of the "We Love Margaret" fan club. Soon branches will be popping up all over. We had a great visit. Walks in the neighborhood, trip to the Grand Canyon (Margie Bean's first) and tons of good food. We can't wait for Sarah to return. Also this week we finally got to test the new stroller, the cadillac of strollers, the Chariot. Margaret wore her cute animal fleece and was pushed in luxury.

Waking Up and Sleep Sheep

This is really just a post for the grandparents. I can't imagine anyone else watching a long video of baby waking up. It's important to capture the cuteness. As an opposite to the waking up, her sleep sheep, a gift from G'Ma and Pops is quite a hit for our evening routine.

Ducky Pants

Mom's favorite pants.

Playtime

We cannot believe how into her mobile she is and it keeps her occupied for a long time for a week old baby. She also loves working out on her gym. Margaret is a morning person just like her parents. Some times during the day we just sit around and look at her. When we took the video, her Grammy was so enthralled that she was taking pictures the entire time. Margie Bean also gets the hiccups all the time and it was captured on film.

Second Visitors

Our second set of grandparents, G-Ma and Pops came to visit the first week of April and quickly joined the "Everyone Loves Margaret" fan club. Just like when the last set of grandparents were here, there was a fight to see who was holding the baby. As parents we started to get more adventurous and headed to downtown Flagstaff and for lunch and a hike in Sedona.

Downtime

Liz and I decided to take Margie Bean for a hike at Red Mountain before our next set of visitors arrived. She is just two weeks old and such fun. She was great on the hike and only seem to let her opinion be known the last ten minutes in the car headed home. It was great to be out in the sun on an adventure.

First week at home

We spend a lot of time just sitting around looking at baby. We also go for walks in the neighborhood thanks to the awesome baby carrier we got as a gift from our friend Amy. The Ergo Baby rocks, especially when we wrap baby M up like a burrito. Margaret had to have some sun time to help her process her bilirubin. The tiny ducky pants are Liz's favorite. Margaret has so many clothes, but the first few days home none of them fit.

First visitors

We have had many visitors over the first three weeks. Liz's parents came to visit first. We had a great time and are so thankful to have Jane's help those first few days. Just like everyone who meets baby Margaret, they are also in love with their first grandbaby.

New baby

Margaret Elizabeth Browne was born on March 20, 2010 on the first day of Spring. She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 in long. When she went for her first bath the nurses picked out the hat with the pomie. One nurse at the hospital knits them for the newborns.
Liz thinks she looks a lot like me, but everyone agrees she has Liz's feet. We are both totally in love with our new baby girl.

Waiting for baby

Over spring break my mom was just hanging out and waiting for me to arrive. She got to have her entire spring break because I didn't decide to come until the last Saturday of her break.
