Gram and Pops Visit

We just had an amazing visit with Gram and Pops here in Flagstaff.  We hung out at the house, went hiking at Red Mountain, skiing, played outside, music class and general low key good times.  We are so glad they came to visit and we can't wait to see them again.

Just a quick little post to get pictures out to share.  We have been up to a ton of outdoor stuff.

Skiing

This is mainly to share Margaret's first ski lesson photos, but when I went to add them I saw a few funny more to put in.  She did an awesome, amazing job skiing.  Margaret and Daddy go every Sunday, but Mike felt he couldn't teach her to move to the next level.  He showed her the magic carpet, getting on the lift and skiing with a harness.  We met up with her friend Andew for lessons (so much cheaper and better than what the resort provides).  They skied for two hours, each riding the magic carpet by themselves and then 2 lift rides.  They both skied without the harness and did really really well.  It's so nice for her to have a friend who she loves with her.  It gives her confidence and helps her relax.  By the end, she wanted Miss Emily, her teacher, to come home with us.

The other photos are just the Browne family doin' stuff.

Christmas 2013

We had such a wonderful, quiet Christmas a home with just our little family.  There was enough snow on the ground to go sledding Christmas Day.  Margaret and I packed in the holiday activities like baking cookies, gingerbread house, wrapping presents, sledding and Daddy had 2 days off with us to join in the fun.  We all watched White Christmas together and I realized how it is the perfect movie for a preschooler.  Just when they are getting a bit bored, it starts up with another dance number.  We are so lucky as a family to be together and have such generous family members to send wonderful gifts for the kids.  I'd say the top 2 were the doll house and Cinderella movie followed closely by playdough and new Bryer horses.  We love you all!
