North Rim of the Grand Canyon

We went on our first camping trip together as a family this past weekend to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Our good friends Sarah and Andy joined us. Margaret loved taking naps and sleeping in the tent. She played with her toys under the easy up while looking out into the canyon. M also wore her warm capilene long underwear from Patagonia to keep herself warm at night and her hand me down fleece jacket. The white fleece bunting kept her cozy during our rim sunset dinner. The weekend was complete with mountain biking and hikes with Bodhi.

Visit from Grammy

We had a great time with our Grammy. Margaret is growing so fast and changing every day. She loves to go swimming and hiking. We went swimming with a big group of friends and M loves watching the older kids. We just went back the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We were hiking up on the peaks here in Flagstaff. Margaret's new Bumbo chair has arrived and is perfect to sit and hang out in while mommy cooks. She also still LOVES the jumpy the chair and playing on her tummy. I think we will be crawling soon. And as always reading, reading, reading.

Summer Weekend

What a weekend. Baby girl Browne has been helping her mommy with the laundry. We went to a bowling party for our friend Paul and Margaret went past the 21 and over sign. Already living on the edge. Just this weekend Margaret figured out how to flip from her tummy to her back and then to her tummy. She now sleeps butt up in her crib. But what a cute butt it is. Last but not least, we did some reading of a new book Make Way For Ducklings from our friend Lydia. Margie Bean loves the pictures. ENJOY!

Swimming

This weekend Margaret went swimming for the first time, at 4 months old. We went to the indoor salt water pool with our friend Katie and her mommy. Everyone had such a good time and Margaret was super tired after all the excitement. Good thing she brought her hoody sweatshirt to keep her warm post swim. We can't wait to go back.

4th of July

We had a very busy 4th. Margaret hung with two of her favorite people, Sarah and Andy at a fun BBQ. She even made sure to dress for the holiday in a blue and white striped dress. There has been tons of reading especially on the big book. There has been a lot of soccer watching in the house and Margaret has just gotten into watching the tour with her Daddy. BUT... the newest addition...A BOUNCY CHAIR is very popular and super fun. We can't stop laughing.

Joy Cone

Yesterday one of Margaret's favorite people in Flagstaff gave her a tour of the Joy Cone plant. It was just like seeing Sesame Street in real life. Margaret took her tour very seriously and wore a hair net. She got to see how waffle and cake cones are made. She checked out the batter room and watched the cones come out of the ovens. After all the work we stopped for a freshly baked cone and some ice cream. As you can see all the work wore her out.
