So the photos loaded backwards. You are looking at the current final mess instead of the first shots of the NEW HOUSE. The house was a foreclosure. The bank redid the floors (combo pergo and carpet), repainted, new kitchen cabinets, counters, stove and dishwasher. They also redid part of both bathrooms: new toilet, sink, cabinets and counters. |

We had to do a few structural things that no one will ever see like a support beam (new 2x12) instead of no support beam, moving a gas pipe windows as well as things you do see like a garage door (replacing the hollow cheep one), window, sliding glass door, door to outside, venting dryer, took down the sofit in the kitchen, added pendant lamps, fixed electrical, new furnace, got rid of fluorescent lighting and painted the laundry room.
We could not have done it without the help of our amazing friend Andy who had free time between jobs.
There is still so so so much to do, like unpack, but I wanted to share a few photos so far.

Window on back right drywalled in, door gone, wall knocked down. |
This is the redone kitchen before changes. Dropped ceiling (sofit) removed along with light box and replaced with recessed lights and pendants. Door gone, fridge in place and wall knocked down.

You can see the old "support beam" that held up the ceiling for both rooms. Now its a 2x12 with brackets every 6". |
